The Nio ES6 and EC7's certification paperwork were published by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, certifying their eligibility for sale in China and disclosing their designs. Prior to an EV model being sold in China, this regulation requirement must be satisfied.
The new Nio ES6 has dimensions of 4,854 millimeters in length, 1,995 millimeters in width, 1,703 millimeters in height, and a wheelbase of 2,915 millimeters. For comparison, the contemporary ES6 has a 15mm shorter wheelbase and is 4mm shorter, 3 cm narrower, and 5 cm taller. That shows a marginal improvement in aerodynamic performance, which would enhance efficiency.
Similar to previous NT 2.0-based Nio cars, this model has a LiDAR and camera configuration. The EL7, ET7, ET5, EC7, and the newest ES8 are some of them. This one has run-through taillights like the ET7, as opposed to the current model's split taillights.
Both motors for the ES6 will come from XPT, Nio's electric motor division. These engines will deliver 150kW and 210kW of output, similar to the ET5 car. The ES8's units have maximum power ratings of 180 kW and 300 kW, which they fall just short of.
With a twoing capacity of 1.2t and an electronic hook, the new ES6 is equipped. From CALB and CATL come its batteries.
The website lists the Nio EC7's measurements as 4,968 millimeters in length, 1,974 millimeters in width, 1,714 millimeters in height, and 2,960 millimeters in wheelbase.
The model employs CALB and CATL batteries once more and comes with the more powerful 180kW and 300kW motors. This shows that Nio has a significant business relationship with CATL's adversary CALB.
The second coupe SUV from Nio, the EC7, has a 0.23 Cd wind resistance coefficient. According to Nio, this is the lowest SUV mass-produced in the entire globe. The SUV is the company's fastest SUV, and the firm revealed at Nio Day 2022 that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
There are two battery options for the EC7: 75 kWh and 100 kWh. For the EC7 model, the business is already collecting bookings and has committed to beginning deliveries in May 2023. The test and display cars would start arriving at Nio outlets earlier that month.
