By entering the EU, the Huawei-powered Seres 5 is making a significant advancement in its global expansion. Only the Seres 3 is now available in stores in the Netherlands, but the business has recently announced that the Seres 5 will be available relatively soon. Huawei developed the drivetrain and infotainment system for the larger Seres 5.
The Seres 5 has a 2.88m wheelbase and is 4.7m length. It is propelled by the Huawei DriveONE platform, which has two electric motors with a combined output of 940Nm of torque and 585 horsepower.
The overly optimistic NEDC range claims that the 80kWh battery can travel 500km on a single charge. The car also has a 1.5-liter petrol range extender as an option in China, but not in Europe.
Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) output is supported by the vehicle, allowing it to top off other vehicles as required. Additionally, it has vehicle-to-load (V2L) to power your camping gear.
With Huawei's HiCar, you can sync your music, navigation, and a few other apps from your Huawei phone to the Seres 5's main infotainment screen. Huawei sound engineers additionally adjust the 11-speaker audio system.
The Seres 5's price in the EU is yet unknown, however DongFeng should soon provide additional information.
